Just arrived today, base kit (assembled and delivered) £290 inc VAT but comes in bare metal

I will add the castors and brace bar myself this time as the extra for the kit seems too much

Same for the lift / level kit, a no go for me as I found on my previous one that the thread is too coarse and when the poer tools kick it costs you a sore wrist

Still service from the guys is fantastic !

Cleaned up now with degreaser and scote brite and then some acid etch and left over night



Will have a nice coat of signal yellow by tomorrow

Must admit I really like this coating

Colour is a personal taste as I have never been a lover of machine room green, red or black





Castors arrived and hopefully the plastic cend caps tomorrow

When I did the last jig in this coating it was hit by other paint system and wiped clean with thinners, pertol, solvents, brake fluid ...... all manner of nasties.

It even laughs at Nitromors !!!!

The evil fixture known as the rollowver jig, apparantly using one of these to restore your car is dooming the result to failure

All welded up, extensions added for the larger braked castors and just neeing painted

I wont be able to add the cross braces and front/back braces until I can get room, ideally with a car on board so I can use the laser align tools to get it square.

This welding outside is chronic, plays hell with the shield gas even at high frlow rates. Really looking forward to being inside again

Thats the frtame dropped off at workshop just waiting on some time to make the extra brace bars and finish re-painting.

The brace bar holds the front a bit more securely and as I have lost my drawings I need to make it when tghe car is supported and on the frame, wont take long

Paul commented same as me on the paint not feeling right, I thought it was just me and was down to the cold. My gut is telling me the advice of the paint supplier to use standard thinners rather than the manufacturers was bad advice as my experience with this coating is its brick hard.

We will see, its much warmer where it is now

Now to get the car

So far about a day and half on welding, cutting and painting to get to this stage, not too bad.

And an extra brace for the front mounts, you really need to watch those front bumper mounts, two small bolts for a full car ??
