Standard Imp throttle cables can be a bit course and getting hard to find .
So I fitted Shimano Dura ace BC9000 bicycle cable outer - its available off a roll so you can buy any length you need .
The only issue is its thinner ( but stiffer for a better response ) so it doesnt fit the floor clips .
No problem though , count the clips and add this amount of one inch lengths of washer bottle pipe before fitting , use WD40 or a small amount of grease when you slide it on then you can move it to the clip positions when its fitted .
For the inner i used rear Tandem brake cable , get the stainless one as the BC9000 is polymer lined anyway , you need the pear shaped nipple end not the barrel , this fits into the old cable clip as the factory one does . Clark or Fibrax are the best , ive used both and they are more than long enough
Whilst your at it get a brake adjuster for a side pull brake , drill the bracket slightly so the adjuster fits through , or you could tap it too the same thread as the adjuster ( for Solex or 28/36 or twin SUs as Strombergs already have one ) , makes fine adjustment easy and a ten second job .
