another rivet-picker question....
I've established that AMBROSIA on our cranks means they were made by Ambrose Shardlow & Co, Sheffield but there are also numbers stamped on the crank which I'm thinking may be a date code or sequential numbering
Mind has D 85 on it and saw one on Ebay with F 1797
.'. I thought letter could be production-year and number following it sequential.
So A could be 1963, B - 1964, C 1965, D 1966 etc
My crank (if original) would be prior to Jan 1967 so it might fit.
