Engine now with Andy Jones had a long chat and look round at what else he's building ,said it was lucky I had the NOS hepolite pistons +20 as they are very hard to get now we had a chat about the 733 head I had to convert to sport spec but it wasn't worth doing the. possible break thro in to the water channel was a problem so I I've gone for a full referb on a sports head new bronze guides stainless valves
so should keep me going for a while
I also took along the new main bearings for him to have a look at to check the quality ,they are fine as he said there have been some terrible bearings on the market
so better get on with the bodyworkComment

NICE to get things SORTED even if it's getting them sorted in your head and not actual work on the car .
Trying to get things SORTED with our kitchen , not easy when you have to PLEASE someone else!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I started this some 8 years ago I didn't know what I know now so although the the front wings were semi furnished I decided to strip them back to bare metal and de rust , although there was no rust as it happens and epoxy primer themComment

Have to admit I drilled one in the wrong place ,welder out I've all the sill trim to do too but wouldn't chance it on finished paintComment

Hi sanding the Hydrate 80 and zinc primer I painted on by hand to just keep the rust at bay 8 years ago ,it seems to have done it's job.
I could have left it on but didn't want the paint getting to thick .Comment

More good progress Gary, the prep seems never ending. But loving those gaps, makes all the difference.
The box of dizzies has been located, i will sort you something out this week.

I've got engine back iam building it myself I'll put some picks I had some valves for the head but as soon as I saw Andy's I was sold Andy bored the block tight only .0015/.002" and I have to bed it in carefully to1000 miles got 10/40 oil of him guarantees it will not glaze .
it should bed in to .003" and he says it will not burn oilComment

Can't see much really block clean ready to build ,head is 180 std valves bronze guides machined for oil seals also got studs for block never liked the Idea of screwing head bolts into aluminium
