Most stilettos I see have it missing it was only on up to 68 most probably got scrapped or lost or damaged as the sills rotted

Bit a
of assembly at last ,l don't think these 2have gaskets bit do you seam seal them between to stop any vibration or noise transfer?

Gary, no gaskets but they did have a bit of seam sealer as a bead around them on mine, so I just replaced it in kind with a bead of instant gasket. The cylinders can be removed easy enough eon their own.

You have Wilwood cylinders there, thats the ones I had jam all the way in, valve did not open (jammed with storage lube) so piston would not budge whenpushed in.

Pull them apart, clean and leave soaking in fluid before re-assembly and use is best tip I can give on those.

Gary, are you going factory with the hydraulic lines ?

The brake and clutch lines actually route very well when done with no suspension on the car, you can even run 1/4" for the clutch all the way to the master cylinder and just use a 7/16" female to 3/8 male adapter at the cylinder, fits very well an clears the tank easy and plenty room under the steering rack mount bracket



Save that useless bit of extra 3/16 tubing and the 7/17>3/8 male/male adapter on the clutch running under the tank.

I "re-tasked" the original clutch line hole at passenger side for a larger bore fuel line as I had the electric pump mounted behind passnger side light.

It going to be std I've part run the 1/4 clutch but was wondering is it 1line all way to flexible or is there a connector at the back

Standard

7/16 female on 1/4 " at back joining to the flexi under the parcel shelf
1/4" line through tunnel, routed to passenger side just under the hole at the blank LHD pedal box area, terminates in another 7/16 female
the end of the 1/4" line then goes to a 7/16 to 3/8 male-male reducer
Female 3/8 on 3/16 line from the male to male reducer then routed into the bonnet area at passenger side, line runs along the inside area under the tank to 3/8 male into the clutch cylinder.

I just routed the 1/4 line all the way as it gets rid of 2 joints and that silly transition piece.

Never actually found a proper explanation as to why the drop from 1/4 to 3/16 line and using a reducer, plenty foke lore and speculation. Must be one of the only places that rootes never penny pinched unless copper at the time was a premium and the saving cost less than the reducer but who knows really. The mysteries of the imp

The willwood cyl has been cleaned and primed with silicone fluid as the whole system is new I thought I might as well

Started to put suspension back on , Iam I right in thinking the suspension bolts on the swinging arms or just nipped up and when on full weight eg engine in they are torqued up last job.

Thats the way I do it Gary if they are standard Metalastick bushes. The torque bit other than FT for me is a nice touch

Never looked at the manual tho !

If you have poly bushes wont make much odds as the inner tube is free unlike the Metalastik bushes where the centre is bonded

You mean a few more days looking for bits , I still can't find the rack u bolts or the ally blocks .
I know I have them but not giving up yet no u bolts no front suspension on .
where can they be ?
