Those 12V valves sound like a real good idea.

I'd think having the Aux off on the winter and back on in the summer if we eventually ever get out again would be a good option.

My intention eventually is to have a three-way junction ( imp heater return/by pass/bleed valve items, already in stock and painted ) either side of the luggage space and an auxiliary rad down at the front somewhere, with an electrically operated valve like this one to allow me to get the flow redirected when necessary. ie ragging it in the summer because I'm late for the ferry ! Could even have it automated via the Megajolt and some thermo doomed components.

Andy, I like the idea of having it automatic, you have the inteligence already in the car, just add sensor, relay and you are done, would be lovely job. Or were you thinkinhg just iusing existing sensor input from engine ?

I bought one of these ages ago with similar idea in mind but opted for plumb it all in and scale back if needed.

No John. Something additional linked to a Megajolt in/output. It would be simple to achieve, me thinks

Andy, should be, but rather than run something from the car brains what about one of these

I reckon this would look good under right hand side dash in VUsky Dave Lane Set the on point, goes back off after temp drop X degrees and when measuring takes an avarage sample over X seconds to determine temp.

Not done much but have hand filed a nut shape in the Alternator stay for ease of adjustment .
Seeing as the top bolt is metric ( 13mm ) ive filed this to 10mm , 3/8th takes too much out .

Finished the rivnut door pocket job on the Singer .
Much better than self tappers IMHO .
                        Rivnuts are M4 -0.5 to 2mm .
Recommended drill is 6mm but I used a 15/64 drill bit - bit tighter.
Bolts are M4 X 15MM Cap head in stainless with stainless washers - fitted using copper grease .…
In case anyone asks the ally kick plates were made by Cosmic back in the 60s

What to do with a random hole some muppet drilled in the rear bulkhead .
                              Fit a " probably useless " 60s dipstick wiper
