Bored today so made a new cover for the engine bay light switch
This time from metal :)

Sorted out the Singers radio mount .
I thought on the factory car the glovebox lid screws were captive - WRONG
Bloody are now though - redone the radio mounting set up , all now done using rivnuts - even on the straps .
So both cars now sorted on this front and fully rivnutted , Vuskys is poverty spec , Singers has a posh radio surround and colour coded straps .

Yip, I am sure our mk2 chammy was not spot welded but DDG is. Pain in the butt getting it to square up,

Tidyed up the wiring around and near the coil . Set up is Mike Dents , 45,000V coil ballasted to run on 9V - therefor the points are 9V and last forever , condenser is under the coil and not in the dizzy , by far and away the best set ive ever had

i dont use the handbrake in the garage

Final piece of the " hide all the guts panel " done .
Ive made a closing / link panel that covers most of the exhaust box .
IMHO it looks so much cleaner

I always find it strange following an imp and watching the driveshafts.

Remade the oil pressure gauge union and altered the oil temp sender mount , brazed together this time rather than solder , sender holder is slimmer for better heat transfer .
Looks better and works better

Lights left on warning beeper / ear wax remover fitted and working .
Both Imps now have this uber modern 21st century feature , Well if its good enough for my Merc then its good enough for the Imps
Basically the beeper will only work if the lights are on and either door is opened ,

Sound will need to be on or the vid will make no sense whatsoever
