I think that dipstick wiper is neat.
I'm always pulling tissues out my pocket that are covered in oil.

More useless passing of the time using up some odd junk.
This time a spare wheel cover made from carpet offcuts from when i did the interior

Had another play with the Singers boot back board , now covered in fireproof canvas , also made a little finisher for the washer pipe outlet .
Its all in the details apparently

Nice, all this reminds me I really need to male a new parcel shelf for the MK1.
Old one is out as it was all damaged and out of shape.

Ive been open venting the crank for decades .
This has usually been using any old bit of pipe that fits so bits of fuel pipe , bits from fish tank pumps and anything else i could find.
So today I thought id tidy it up a bit and make it look less bodge up

Nice tidy up Dave and it would have felt great to get it on road

Dave, that stamping just finishes it off I reckon, makes it look old school rather than new bits added

Took the Singer for probably its longest run in a year due to the lockdown.
Did 62 miles in total and it ran perfectly .
I was also great to actually see the sea for the first time in a year
Obviously as you do I took a few of the car
Then when i got home did the carpet wear mod on this as well as the Vusky …
Oh and when I did get home I found a Hedgehog asleep in a bag of stuff waiting to be burned

I thought you were going to say you brought it home. Those little critters get everywhere !

                        Lovely run.

                          Drive it day .
As the Vuskys clutch slave is iffy I had to use the Singer .
Did 69 miles to Wookey hole , across the top via Preddy and down to Cheddar , went home via the Somerset levels ( Wedmore )
Singer ran utterly superbly - in fact possibly the best its ever been in 34 years of ownership .
Coolant temp 74˚C constant - heater off as it was a warm day .…
