Let me check where I got that from, think I picked it from the usual suppliers then bought it direct from somewhere.
Car boot lid only, back parcel shelf and floor although a lot of it is also done in Silent Coat bitumen layer as I had to dump the tar like deadening/strengthener that was in car originally
This was the deadening, more or less ame stuff as Wickes Roof Flashing I replaced the dedening in the wings and doors as well, the door insides mine wee crumbling off

Car engine cover done also
I have these fellas book marked but would need to check, it is self adhesive (and good adhesive at that) car sound deadening 6mm thick.

Todays antics.
Transaxle now had plug changed for a magnetic one and fluids added so that should be rady to rock.
Then drained the engine oil and fitted another magnetic plg, new seals and some new oil.
I am unsure if the magnets just sit in these Bob Petowner ???? but makes fitting the dwoty seal a challenge and getting it in the metal sump !

What do you want ? blood?
If so l'll send you another couple of filter magnets Should have another 14 delivered later in week.
Yeah hadn't thought about that .
Yes the magnet just sits in slightly oversized bores , next batch ,l've glued some in as bores when too much oversize for me to happy with them , but the ones you have the magnets are just in there due to magnatism (but very strong adhesion)
Would you use the Silent Coat again John, l was looking at it yesterday , need to put some back in , thinking initially above headlining, so want that to be 100% reliable ,
anywhere else you can rip it off and start again.

Bob
They were great, everything is in and sealed, the transaxle gave me a little bit of a problem so I replaced the washer with a dowty, deed done, likely a face issue on the transaxle side. Petowner
Unlike the tank filter now those are looking for blood no need for more magnets bob, all is good
I would not use silent coat on the roof bob, its heavy for a start. Best stuff I have ever found for the roof is actually the original hairy stuff.
Close second would the the closed cell foam I mentiond to Dan, link below

Fuel tank top.
I did not have same material as I used on JDL, but found a left over nitendo wii mat. That will do !
So tank filled in and now has anti slip for the card to sit on top of. I did away with the metal tangs and will use velco strip to hold down the card shelf bit in middle
First add the wiring I forgot about !
Fuel sender, fuel low indicator and ground
And some lining of the pressed parts
Than a solid layer on top and cut out for the sender
The final layer will be ribbed rubber on top of the card shelf, the card shelf tends to sit better on top of that anti slip layer
Another step closer.
Now just waiting on silly cheap parts to put things together,

Still waiting on 10 a penny stuff to arrive
So time to do the heater box, the boxes were all coated initially by Andrew Laird for me as he wanted to try the coating. Fantastic job he did.
But i masked up the face as I wanted to do that satin black, apply the decals and then a coat of satin lacquer.
So thats it done, turned out well, new foam for the flap,
And then it begins
And the decals now applied. These decals are supplied by Robin Human
And satin lacquer and brought inside for the night to cure
Think that will do

And then I went completely off at a tangent and decided to restore the lamp that Andrew dropped off to me ages ago.
Well restore perhaps not the word as I really wanted the perido look but not the period candle 21W lamp (plus reflector is crusty !)
First in pieces
And the reflector/holder cleaned up, zinc coated and then clear coat, should be good for a bit.
So converted it to a 3 x LED cluster by chopping up some standard lamps that I had from LED lamp experiments in the indicators (which failed) but these clusters perfect for directional light like reverse
And then mounted into the lamp holder itself
A glob of hot melting glue and its all potted and then some chrome enamel paint over the mess.
A quick test
And get the glass on now
All that light, nice glass and chrome fitting and less than 60mA !!!! rather than the 2A or so a standard 21W would take and the light output should be 3X
Glad i found a use for these. Might do same mod for the fog lamp

Wanted C5W bulb.
Folks with LED need not apply.
Reply to wee guy down the road.
I spent half an hour today trying to solder the ends back on an interior light bulb, gave up in end. :)Patrick McGrorty
