That's a PITA John with the oil dripping as it is.
I know how you are feeling as I had to drop my sump twice to sort out an oil leak which meant taking the exhaust of as well. Mine wasn't professionally rebuilt though, it was sum numpty in his garage with a vague idea of what he thought he could do.......Me ..

Now got a water leak to sort out, all sent to test us I think or so I'm told. .

I'm sure you will overcome these wee issues irratating as they are. Good luck.

Col, the rage is building a bit, the thought of pulling that engine back out is really annoying me now.

My own errors I can deal with, even if it involves a few choice words and a hammer or two

There were 3 done at same time

All had one issue or another. I can live with slightly notchy gate as its less hassle than pulling it back out, returning (not cheap), getting back while car lies in bits for months, another with a bit of a whine off the diff or other parts at higher revs, at least those dont leak.

I would think that ok you don't ship them with oil in but I would fill it up before shipping for a few days to see if there or any issues then drain it

You would think, enough oil to at least least check flanges and seals.

Is wot it is, need to sit like that for a few months now anyway.

If I had not dropped those damn trim clips would never have even looked underneath, wish I hadn't now

Second jab now done as of this morning. So kind of a bit happier now.

Decided to toss the poly sheet over the imp for a bit as it is pissing me off.

However the drop glass will need to go in at some point so thought i would get it at least cleaned and ready to go.

I hate the crust that the glass guides accumulate so a cleanup and coat of galv then clear. The grease on these was more like wax, i remeber the fight i had getting it out !

Pics not exciting but I can at least rmeebr I did it !

Now that the door trims are done i will see if I can get the other drop glass, quarter lights and guides cleaned and coated up tomorrow. Hand been killing me for past few days making gripping even with my working fingers difficult but one has to make do

So cleaned and sheared screw removed and threads cleaned, jusr runners to do next

I think the drop glass channelks ar too far gone though so will need to go find the ones that were good that I put in a safe place, maybe I will fing the quarter lights while I am at it !

Project side trim now complete

Worst part is cleaning the seler residue for the holes off 'orrible sticky ship.






Plus the obligitory cat pictures, next doors cat in for avisit and some dreamies, ours watching

Drop glas parts nearly all done, just need to pick out some decent glass that is not cursty or have a worn spindle

was dust everywhere so decided to air off the covers usually living on the roof and bonnet and blow off the dust that managed through.

Nearly tempted to start cut/polish the paint but decided better left to the experts (plus I still cant hold the mop )
