Think the holes for washers and wiper stems are the same size , how about l make a set similar to the blanks l made but at the size of the wiper stem seal\spacers , that bit smaller might look better? Looking more like wiper parts ? size wise.

Well its howling outside and teaming down.
Recovered by tea time so decided to do my mandatory clean down all over place then had a look at the Imp as I still have rear seat mount to do, still trying to figure out best way to go there.
The seat belt fixing are integral to the seat, so I decided to use those, modern car safety is all good with these and it leaves plenty room on the new seat belt webbing, in fact on the fixed one a little too much
Front is well sorted now, fits like a glove and carpet folds over great.
Rear though I originally wanted to mount it to tunnel on one side but the thought of drilling odd holes after spending so much time on the shell (the after market seat belt mounts we only real rot on floor)
But downside of the modern seats is the have to be "fixed down securely" so the seat belt fixings can do their own thing.
I have a few choices here
Either way I reckon I will need to cut off the existing bolt flanges as they are most untidy
Behind door number 1
I get the pipe bender back out and bend the 22mm tube in a nice sort of U shape with ears and weld to seat. Weld in some smaller tube through the bigger one to stop the fixing crushing it, fit some rivenuts and bolt in from underneath
Behind door number 2
I use some stock box section same height as what I need to adjust the rear seat, a few rivnuts and bolt to the box section through the holes in the seat runners using some socket head screws.
Then do same as with the steel tube solution, bolt from under neath the car up, goes againts the grain a little to have a bolt, looking "UPWARD" but modern technology will let me lock that in place, I find exposed threads under the car very ugly
I will sleep on it and if enough energy get that done tomorrow.
Looks like it will be fishing down till Wed so plan is to get drop glass in passneger door (need to refurb all the bits) Tuesday and the drivers Wed.
With seats in and glass in. seal windscreen and should be good to go !
Get rid of some more stuff on Ebay and I can get back seats done by Lesley if she has time

So I could not wait until tomorrow, brain too active.
So took seat out and loped off the offending parts.
First one was just drill out a couple of blind rivets, spot weld drill perfect, out in 2 ticks
A small spanner in the works in that these blind rivers are actually the end stop for the runners so need to work around that
Other annoying "ear" same process but in addition 2 cuts needed with the slit disc.
Anyway the solution now seems a lot simpley with the front bracket being so robust
I reckon some rivents on the frames runner at the back, cut off the excess runner, make a nice wide spacer and simply bolt from under onto the seat, then a locknut on top
We will see what tomorrow afternoon brings, hospital in morning/ John

Well as some know the work on Plan A which was going to be quite involved and over engineered like I do sometimes was abruptly halted.
Mr Conroy to the rescue, popped over todat to do all the work reducing my efforts to one handed welding of some threaded bar, spray cans and supplying blunt drill bits for him to use
Seat rear brackets ended up on plan M but eventually in and solid as can be, even with my big butt in them.
Other than fine tuning height thats another job done.
