Oh, I don't know what happened earlier I got messages that there was an invalid URL. I must have been clumsy with my typing.
actually the other side is waiting for the same back corner fixing so not really complete yet.
I decided to do the passenger side next as I like to be illogical at times!

        Keith,
Your fairly cracking on with this now, brilliant to see.. You will have it finished before I have The Pest done..
I'm working 7 days a week at the moment so don't get a chance to get on with it.
Keep at it and get turbo Paul to add ort you out with the turbo option for the engine

Im considering deleting the chrome side strips. Will I need to weld up the holes for the clips or will filler do the job?

                      Keith

Taks some surface material off with a flapdisk (watch the heat) and some neat epoxy filler will do the dead and seal it at same time, you can always add some masking tape behind most of the rear wing/door ones but they do fill up nicely, for thos shallow areas some neat epoxy brushed in I always found had much better adhesion and fine filling properties to the white stuff.

Here it is "abused" ( I can here the purist tut tuts from here )

Without being thinned it brushes on great and blocks out as easy as a finishing filler.

I used it in all the seam joint for the lower 1/2 wing on Millie, first time using it like that, worked out great

Ah, thanks John I will take your advice and avoid the "white stuff" . What make of Epoxy filler do you recommend?

                            SEE HERE

                            It will download a PDF

For suspension, underneath, filling etc. I prefer THIS STUFF as I can brush, spray, roller, scoop and otherwise plaster in there it works absolutely fantastic on surface dents as it self levels even in neat form. Brilliant for filling seams as unlike seam sealer it will flow in in like liquid.

Absolutely brilliant finish. I chose the "red oxide" colour option as it sort of replicates the original primer layer.

Brushed into seams or squirted in from back by syringe, great seam sealer as well.

Here it is on door prep, also makes a fantastic guide coat of its own as well as a fine filler layer, blocked out the semi glosee finish goes matt so its has its own "guide coat"

The red or black shows it much better in red or black.

Dents and skim (well actual distortion from repair as I was over eager on drivers door its not deep filler but just deep enough that epoxy would not manage it.

Spray applied epoxy and just a quick scuff to show surface

Blocked out completely using long bed , great guide coat
