mix 1:1 well, leave at least 10 minutes, thin 20%,
Setup wise should be at least 1.8 in cold as it is quite viscous but done it myself even at 1.4 when warm.
Your gun is new so unless it had sticky bits on the needle or nozzle seat should be fine.
Occasionally when cleaning the air cap jets which create the fan get blocked.
you dont need to use epoxy thinners for washing the gun, just ordanary thinners will do.
Did it spit on first spray or was it ok first use, spitting on second, if the latter I would guess it is paint lumps or sticking bits, just strip and clean and see how you go
