Its surprising how much time all these bits take.
Pat must have spent days on tha AMG diff.
If it is direct to cast/steel, BESA URKI70 Rapid 70 One Coat is what you want, demon stuff. Thats what my rollover jig was done in. Unbelievable stuff, even paint stripper would not soften it !
Keyed or clean surface all that is needed, no primer required
When I was doing the bits and Bobs I let Andrew loose with the gun with some in it, was very surprised on ceoverage and it dries in no time brick hard.

You are correct John and there are many of those little time consuming jobs that all need done .
Today one was making up a bracket so I can fit the clutch master cylinder or I should really say re-employ a Kawasaki rear brake master cylinder to do the job of the Imp clutch master cylinder.
Reasoning for this is the Kawasaki master cylinder is the same bore as the Blackbird clutch master cylinder you would use on the handlebar of the motorcycle. The Imp one wasn't.
It isn't bolted in properly as all my imperial bolts are at the farm where the car is but looks like it is neat enough and fingers crossed it works. Need to sort out the position of the pedal to be inline with the brake pedal and fit a stop to it too. Then paint it and fit it to the car.

I reckon the bike MC would be a better option Col, unless you wanted to play with pivit points and all that for displacement
Pedal boxes 10-a-penny so can always go back later as you can actually get to the pedal box easy enough
But yeah, 15 mins to make something, 5 to clean, hour by time its coated and have to leave till next day... its these bits that claw away at the soul
At least its warm, was out in that cold most of day and had to go to bed to warm up, never realised ;-(/ John

I went to fit the the pedal box today, well trial fit it as I'm waiting on stainless bolts to fit it permanently and the bracket I made to hold the master cylinder will be need a bit of fettling. . Basically it doesn't fit 100% correct with how I'm routing the radiator return hose.
Oh well, a reason to crack the welder on again I guess.
So after that disappointment I opened up the bag of 4 way stretch carpet I bought ages ago to trim the interior with. I wanted to fit it to the area(firewall, if your American) behind the dash and to the front inner arches today.
Here is the rest of that.
This needed to be fitted so I could finally fit the refurbed dash that must've been done 3 or 4 years ago . Time flies eh??
Which in turn allowed me to fit the heater and cut all the water hoses about and conne t them upto the heater and install a bleed valve in behind the dash aswell.
It is in there.. Honest!!!
This is how I left it tonight..
Cheers

Thanks John,
The material is cheap and dead easy to work with. How robust it will be remains to be seen as I doubt it will be as durable as a good carpet set to be honest. I may add some proper mats for the footwells later.
The rest of the car won't be used like it was back in the day so it should be fine.
The heater will need to be wired up but I know when they are working they work great. Scott has the same one in his Clan and I know that works a treat in that.

Thanks Keith, yeh you are correct the cabin in Scott's Clan isn't a big area to heat up mind but boy does that heater not half chuck out the heat
How is your Chamois coming along, not seen any updates lately, still at it I hope?
