John,
Yes, from Car builder Solutions. This is it here
https://www.carbuilder.com/uk/heatac...rid&orderBy=15
There will be many different ways to attach it but I did it like this.
I also drilled three holes in the top of it so I could vent/demist the windscreen and fitted hose connectors that you can also buy from CBS so I can connect the flexi hose to the newly made duct that sits below the dash vents to the screen.
Hope that makes sense for the windscreen demist. The underside of the vent holes duct was made out of a stainless pipe cut down the middle with a closed cell foam to seal it at the edges so hopefully all the hot air will clear the windscreen.
Cheers

Merry Christmas to all you Impers,
Hope you have all had a good one and enjoyed yourselves.
I had a few hours at The Pest initially at the farm where it has been for the last year and a little bit on the engine which is in my garage.
The door windows have been sitting for a few weeks waiting on me to paint the outer edge the will be bolted to the door frame. I wanted them painted the same colour as the door so I wouldn't see the closed cell foam that I have placed between the door frame and the window to seal it from letting rain water inside.
Once the paint is cured I will fit them for the final time to the doors.
The other thing I managed to get done was the two pipes for the master cylinders for the clutch and brakes to their respective reservoirs.
Still got to p clip the brake pipework but happy with the routing. Also got to buy more copper brake line to connect the master cylinder to the splitter or junction union.... Whatever you call it .
So I faffed about trying to get the braided fuel line onto the AN-6 alloy connectors I bought ages ago with out much luck so gave up, ripped it out of the car and brought it home. Got it sorted in the vice which is the proper way .
Once home after sorting out the fuel line I sorted out the oil pipework to the oil cooler.
Fuel line will be refitted tomorrow along with my door windows , sort out the under floor fitting of the throttle cable too.
Cheers

Window fitting today hopefully for the last time as the double sided closed cell foam tape was used and will be a did to remove. Luckily it all went well with a little help from my son.
Before.
After although on the drivers door
Blue inside instead of looking at the black tape, would have done my head in that would have .
Once we had completed a door each it was onto p clipping the braided clutch pipe to the inside of the car ut also doubling up the stainless bolts for the p clips to hold the clips on the underside of the car for the throttle cable and fuel line. A simple job but took the both of us to complete with me lying under the car holding the bolts whilst my assistant fitted the p clips and nylocs on the inside.
The engine cradle was removed from the engine earlier do I could fit it into the car and sort out the gearshift, or at least get measurements for it to hopefully work.
Once home I chopped out the gear flexi and adapted it for the new gearshift. No photos of that... Yet unfortunately.
Cheers

Tonight I completed the brake lines with fitting the last piece of copper brake pipe from the master cylinder to the 4 way junction. Still to bleed it and tie down the reservoir to master cylinder line but it is only a few p clips away from being done
Once I have bled the brakes it will be extending the wiring loom with the new connectors and 5 metres worth of the 36 different coloured wires that match the original Blackbird loom. .. That may take a wee while and a lot of head scratching to get right..
Cheers

Cheers John,
I do like neat pipework
Thanks for passing on my number to Graham regarding an ebike.
Yeh, 36 wires from the middle of the loom where I need to lengthen it forwards to the front of the car, seems an awful lot but that is what the standard bike has so I am just going along with it. All the relays and fuse box are on the framework for the engine, a lot of wiring from the ecu , think there is 13 alone coming from that, the rest will be for the bikes clock, rev counter , oil pressure, indicator, high beam, lights on, neutral light, fuel gauge etc Some of it may not be needed but I best keep it all just in case.
I will let you know how I get on once I have all the wiring to start with.
Cheers

Col, no worries.
Yes Grahams first experience was not good. Plus you never know which one is really a good one to buy these days just from reviews, at least it will keep him mobile.
I would be slicing that loom up like a slice of cheese not sure the merc even has 36 wires in a bundle !

Hi Keith,
No worries with the AN-6 fittings now, all done by using the vice and a little screwdriver which was a tip from YouTube that i watched when I had the issue there.
Little bits of progress bit by bit at the moment but all progress
Cheers
