Bit of progress on one inner arch , rust converter has cured and the all the black dust thats left removed , seam sealer has been reapplied and its now primed ready for gravitex stone chip paint which might happen once the primers cured in 24 hours time .
Only three more to do after this - im waiting for more hydrate 80 to arrive .
H bracket area will be done then , im leaving the shock in place for the time being but it will be removed to do the bracket.
For an Imp thats got over 400,000 miles under its belt its nae bad

Well i cant finish it , garage is too close to the house and ive had a right bollocking ( with good reason and totally understandable ) for stinking out the kitchen with paint pong .
So basically its stuck on stands til i can get it outside ( after i put it back together ) whereby i can actually get it outside and paint the inner arch .
Vuskys dead for now

So ages ago I did away with the card board boot trim that supposed to sit on the tank , i fitted a fibreglass back and used a bit of rubber matt for the tank top .
Problem is the tank aint flat , its ribbed
Anyway a light weight flat base was required to put the matt onto.
I managed to find a 1mm thick sheet of fibreglass which i cut to fit . Boot base / tank top is now flat so the rubber matt fits much better .
Also changed the heater fan duct for a slightly smaller one so the auxiliary front rad pipework and the duct fit under the card board trim

Back in the 90s I picked up a NOS Husky / Van tailgate from a scrappy for £15 - it was fitted to a rotten Husky and the only bit worth saving .
Anyway to keep it solid dousing the inside with waxoil seemed a good idea and to make this easy i cut out the middle of both rear indentation pressings then fitted a board cover over both using hardboard and red vinyl .
Over the years these have distorted a fair bit and the waxoil has damaged the vinyl.
Tother day I made some boot liner tops with some red 1mm fibreglass. Umm red looks a similar colour to the interior trim
So today i made the tailgate inserts from some of that fibreglass and also did the cover panels by the rear seat.
Should outlast me now
literally just bare metal inside , no wonder these rotted out
