Just shame the Mk 1 has the extra skin, hope it is OK behind there or that it can at least get cut out and ropped back on.

With the MK 1 skin seems a shame to chop it out for the "sished" access to spring top which if the nuts are not seized is not really that much hassle to access.

I should have a couple of good used H mounts cut froma car if you need them Dave and I will look around as I also have bracing cutouts for the H mounts as well from when I made me own, all in 2mm steel

Not as bad as i thought by miles , just the inner skins gone , Back of the H brackets solid , i beat 7 bells out of it , the rest is solid

Welded up ( not mega neat as i was using gassless ) still great penetration all the same .
Then seam sealed , primed and brush painted ( not getting the compressor out for that poxy bit

Nice wokr, interesting on the gasless approach on the welding, not had much experience with it and when I did try some wire it was terrible.

But like old stick rods used to be I guess youget good and bad material

The only gasless wire that works well is by SIP , The rest is crap , this works well considering
