I added an extra LED on mine, as it is a changeover switch live on common, pump on normally closed, fit a led indicator from normally opern to ground and if it ever trips you can just see it isok or not right away (led on = tripped)

Hopefully never needed though !!

Did that on the Singer , then needed the bulb space for sommat else so got removed

Well you learn stuff every day - even if youve been faffing with Imps for decades .
As is well known ive been having issues with transaxles of late , three rebuilt - all of which were crap to a greater or lesser extent.
The last but one " rebuilt " box is currently with someone else and he has found a fair few bad issues with it - none of which makes me even remotely happy seeing as it cost a packet to have it " rebuilt " by so called experts .
Anyhoo the one currently fitted to Barnaby is the lesser of three evils - at least it doesnt jump out of second .
However gear selection esp. first is nigh on feckin impossible , so much so im scared il snap the gearlever off every time I try, Selecting first engine off was almost impossible
Tother month i was doing a motor at work that runs on two bushes , every time you rebuild one you have to give the shaft a twatting to centralise the bushes otherwise its very stiff to turn .
So I was wondering if this might be a similar issue on Barnaby . Technically its attached at the box on the flexi , on the lever and the rear bush bracket thingy .
So i undid the rear bracket so it was loose and to my surprise gearchange felt better - less stiff in neutral . I tried various washers / spacers highering and lowering the rear bracket and eventually got it so selecting all gears engine off with no clutch was easier . Both nylon bushes and the Flexi are NEW BTW .
So it seems at least in my mind the rear bracket was slightly out of line and forcing the bar up too far
Has it solved the first to second issue - well NO - however at least im less likely to snap the feckin gearlever off trying to find first , lever is lighter to use in all gears and selecting all gears engine off is now possible - just like the Singers is , however the box issues re. first to second gear remain.
At least I now KNOW theres NO FAULT with the gearlever assembly .

At least the brakes is an easy fix, we will not mention the transaxle experts not wot they used to be

Pre Full English check on Barnaby has revealed some slightly knackered bits .
NSF had a leaky cylinder and a borked wheel bearing ( inner ) .
OSF just a leaky cylinder .
In the end I changed all 4 front cylinders , NSF inner and outer bearing plus seal .
OSF link pipe decided to turn itself into a corkscrew so had to replace that as well .
Rears both looked fine so just rejuvenated with some brake cleaner.
I guess the new master was too much for the cylinders

Not at all is it same exhaust as the Singer ?

I am going to investigate other options, maybe an offset box rather than the straight when I get the engine rebuilt

Had a B post door catch and a tailgate doofer done on a CNC
Now built up and tested .

Had to file a tiny bit of the nylon part , top LH corner as the CNC has cut it slightly curved and the factory ones right angled , other than that twas simples .
Tailgate anti rattle like feek / keep it lined up doofer fitted perfectly as well
