Well it's been a busy few days cutting the spare wheel floor section out on #imp of Steve Burton all due to some accident damage the probably happened back in the 60s or so .
The repair was good enough but for steve and myself it had to be better so the decision was made months ago to go this way .
The original repair had left 3/4 of the spare wheel pan and a new section welded in but this was not very straight .also fitted was a new nearside chassis leg and front panel and the floor and tub were still a mess .
I have released a load of spot welds on yhe floor to tub and pulled and tapped the floor and tub back as best we can .
Then with some self tapers and a load of clamps trial fitted the front end .
It's getting there still a long way to go before I'm happy to weld it all back together . Hopefully tomorrow will see some more progress
