I did one side of these yesterday and the other today as I had limited time.
One of thes ejobs that take time, I sent these out to be media blasted as they are old and well crusty, acide etched them when they got back and left.
A wipe down with phospate solution then backed dry before brush applying the coating.
I dislike poweder coating or spray coatings on anything thats pitted or with seams, a brush can always get into the pits and seams and easy to work it in.
At the end of the day the finish makes little odds on suspension and the coatings will self level if applied correctly.
A thin coat of selaer and a decent top coat, sorted
Just need to polish out the seats for the rear bearings and fit some new bushes to the rears, the front bushings were very good, certainly not 60 years old.
Still its one of these jobs that you need to schedule in, this took me nearly as long as it did to fit the sill !
