    Thats the full lip restored

Box section for the cross member bolts made and fitted

    Cross member fitted to check

Full length of the lip to floor under the seat cut back nearly 50mm in some cases all renewed

Just the single skin to repair but will do that once the floor is in as the flange returnd over the end of the floor (just like other side)

So all good for getting the floor in now.

Some snippets of the home made "aligment" tool to make sure the box section surfaces were all falt, a short section of flange bolted to a known good cross member fixing and slid back and forth like a pendulum

Worked an absolute treat and a lot easier than holding a straight edge.

Managed to get all the captive bosses for the cross member fixings all back in nicely.

Total time taken to do this (80% done)

    7.5 hours, a full day

Carnage includes 7 x 75mm cut off discs, 2 flap discs, 1 125mm cutting disc and of course whatever I used up in steel, welding wire and gas.

A surprising amount of time for such a small area but amazing how all these little repairs can snag you time wise. Be prepared !

Almsot takes same amount of time to fit the floor !
