Glad to say my 1972 Imp Super "Nutmeg" passed her MOT today. Need to do a lot of re-painting etc underneath, possibly suspension removal really. Now here's an odd thing. The tester kept the engine running and the lights on whist underneath. What he didn't see was all the lights go out by themselves for about a minute, before coming back on on their own! Not sure if the dash switch is at fault or whether Nutmeg was playing a joke! Anyone else had this happen?

King pin query - too tight? Just replacing the king pins on my 68 imp - what a #### of a job! Managed eventually to press in the new bushes and fit new washers and seals - the carrier is a very tight fit into the stub axle and then the king pins itself is very tight when drifted home. I can just about swivel the carrier side to side when holding the stub axle and brake drum - but it takes all my force to do it. I'm assuming it's all too tight?… Do I need to polish/lightly sand king pin? Do something else?
