Morning everyone, I’m needing some advice. I’ve finally settled on an engine for my imp. It will be an alloy block 1.4 litre engine from a Peugeot which comes in at about 82kg (so close to the original imp weight). However it will be kicking out about 105bhp and my original engine was less than half that. So my question is, is there a way to strengthen the gearbox to take this extra power? What have other people done? Also if there is a 5th gear option for replacement, that… would be good too!
