Continuing my hunt to determine what the cause of the voltage drop to my headlamps is (it’s still there for main beams but I’ve fitted a relay for the dips) I did some tests. Perhaps some of you more knowledgable folk will know. Lights off and engine running - At the fuse box - I’ve a late Imp - I get 14 volts and at the headlamp swith in the dash I get 14 volts. However , when I turn on the lights this drops to 13volts. Is this normal? Should you see a drop of 1 volt when …the lights are turned on?
