For a while now myself and the team at Brise have been developing a 40A tiny Denso . Instead of the 40A max output we reckoned a 60A version could be wound and built with a decently low cut in . We already do 90A and even 120A versions but these are purely for racing as the cut in ( the revs required for it to actually start charging ) are stupidly high , fine on a rally car but no dgood on the road . I dug out my 998 short engine (told it was originally bought from Hartwell) from long term storage the other day and have been looking it over for numbers. The pictures are what I found. The original block was from a Rootes Imp Super and I’m guessing that as each piston has been stamped with RP10697 that this has been through the hands of Ray Payne.
