Question for anyone that’s rebuilt a engine in there imp, stripped all of mine down today ready to drop the head to a machine shop, the fire face doesn’t seem to have any meat built in to accommodate a skim? Is it standard practice to use a shim once skimmed or can you get away with once? Or do people just avoid skimming the head all together? Picture of bits for attention ?
