Update on Barnaby , done another 100 or so miles this week.
Last few days in some rather soggy weather subsequently i can confirm the following .
It dont leak a single drop even in heavy rain , nothing - zilch - not even a dribble .
My go faster wipers with modern-ish Bosch blades clear the screen as good as me Merc esp. now the right voltages are coming out the ignition switch - ie. 14V not 11V . Ideally id like a NOS ignition switch ( this ones dated 1974 )
Transaxles behaving itself . 1st to 2nd is better when its warmed up .
Theres an oil leak on the engine which im sure is the dizzy O ring giving up .
I think a UJ is giving up on a driveshaft but il pretend i didnt hear it .
Its wet and filthy :)
