    Thank you for accepting me into your club.

    My history with the Hillman Imp started when I was very young, one could say at the very beginning.

    My father was the Plant Engineer for Pressed Steel Ltd in Linwood, from 1959 until his death in 1966. As such he was heavily involved in the planning for the manufacture of the Imp body shells and how they were to get across the road to the Roots plant. A conveyor belt over the duel carriageway sorted that problem.

    I recently came across some of the production lines, and rather than file them away, I would like to share them with current owners/fans of the Imp and variants. You never know, you could be looking at yours.

    As for the year, I would estimate pre 1966.
