    Hi, A few pics of my SU conversation, think I’ve got it running quite well now…

    It uses a couple of adapter plates bolted to a Sport inlet. I modified a sport air box to fit but it’s rather a tight fit as I had to reverse the bottom half due to height of the SU’s. I’ve been running it recently with K&Ns and the engine is much happier. The needles are slightly thinned AT’s, thinned mainly in the full throttle area. I now have good cruising Lambda, bobbles around 1, medium throttle puts it in the 0.9-0.95 range, wide open throttle streaming is rich at 0.75-0.8 but really only at the extreme, not too worried about a bit of extra fuel at this “wild” load/speed area.

    Had to add a pressure reg as the pump was overwhelming the carb needle valves, now set at 2.5psi which seems to work well ?

    Think I’m done now with this engine/set-up…. onward to the 998 now ? ?
