Been watching the weather for this Sunday but still saying light showers whatever that means, anyway I'm planning on taking the Clan on a wee trip through to Aberfoyle and round The 3 Lochs Forrest Drive, should be spectacular this time of year and was wondering if anyone cares to join me.
This is not an organised event and I take no responsibility for the attached google maps route, it's up to individuals to ensure the suitability of roads and follow the highway code.
I tried to plan a route that avoids the Motorways while passing places of interest see https://goo.gl/maps/yf6at3jrUWXDKxWF8 but has not been checked so might end up being a magical mystery tour.
I'm planning being at Tesco South Queensferry for 10.00 and leaving about 10.30, remember that the clocks will have gone back, it's about 1 1/2 hour run to the visitors centre in Aberfoyle where there are toilets, I will be going onto the 3 Lochs Forrest Drive -£2 charge (Three Lochs Forest Drive - Forestry and Land Scotland) and having lunch there but if anyone prefers to wander round Aberfoyle/have lunch there that works as well, we can meet up at Ben Venue carpark at 1.45pm then its a 45 min run to Dunblane for a comfort break before a wee run into the Moorfoot hills and then home, in all about 100 miles.
If anyone interested in going let me know by email and I can make sure your kept up to date on any changes to the plans and keep an eye out for them, if anyone prefers to join us along the route that's fine but again let me know so I can watch out for you.
You can download the route onto your phone and use it for navigating the run but if you do remember, it needs to be hands free use, anyone needing having problems setting up on your phone, email your phone number to me and I'll try to help
Best Regards
Scott Clements
