Yesterday my standard Imp stopped running, fortunately where I could get off the road. Diagnosed no fuel in pump. Full tank of fuel. Removed inlet pipe on pump - no flow. removed feed pipe from pump to carb and joined it to inlet and blew as hard as I could but pipe seems blocked. I have a magnetic filter in the tank. If this proves to be blocked when I remove tank sender, how on earth do I get it out to clean it - that magnet is very strong.? Before it stopped car was running great. All rubber hoses new. Inside of tank is clean and mag filter added as precaution. Any ideas?
