    So, we've acquired four engines that have been left outdoors for over five years. No idea why they were laid up or if there's any problem with any of them. Unsurprisingly none of them turn over and we've started taking the heads off them.

    Current plan is to pour noxious fluids down the bores. Diet coke, engine oil, two stroke oil and now you can get Plug Gas in a tin so you can pour it in. Then using a block of wood, gently try to tap the pistons down to get some movement. Or lever on the starter motor teeth to get a turn that way.

    Am I flogging a dead horse? Is it possible to bring these engines back to life? Any other advice on what to do?
