Please can someone explain to me why whenever I disturb the fuel tank sender the gauge stops working? I have had the sender out twice in the last six months to drain the tank. The first time I had to resort to replacing the sender unit with a new old stock one. I assumed the other, which was working before I took it out, was faulty and assumed I’d have no further trouble. I took it out again last weekend and guess what. Not working again!
