I have been sorting out lots of parts surplus today was sorting through the door locks on the aperture opening....
I picked out a few that showed very little wear at the large opening.
Then I looked at where the wheel house striker locks in and was surprised at what i saw.
The photos show the cuts and grind outs evident in what are minimal used door locks
Could Rootes Australia have adjusted the door closing on mk1 imps like this than fettle for hours at the hinge end they cut and ground out the lock until the door closed perfectly
There is also two different metal pressing for the door striker locks evident in the photo yet these locks are from mk1 imps only.
