I watched the car SOS Hillman Imp restoration again tonight and apart from the upside down side trims what else did you notice that was incorrectly fitted ? the first Imper to correctly identify it, I will donate £50 to cancer research.
Not sure if it's what you're looking for, but it had the rear number plate surround trim for a Super, and yet it is a De Luxe model. I haven't watched the episode recently, so can't remember if I spotted anything else. The whole thing seemed a bit OTT fitting throttle bodies and mappable ignition / large bore exhaust etc to an otherwise bog standard De Luxe. That lot of kit probably cost as much as the car was worth. Good promotion for Expressed Steel Panels though.
