MONTE CARLO HERITAGE RUN START 28 JANUARY 2020

For 2020 we are retaining the popular 2 day Heritage event starting at John O’Groats on the morning of 28 January and following an authentic route to Aberdeen for dinner and overnight halt. Crews will then join up with the Aberdeen starters on 29 January for the run to Glasgow. There will also be the traditional routes from Glasgow to Stirling and Dumfries along with the re introduction of Luss as a destination.

MONTE UPDATE 29th JANUARY

The fun starts with the "Signing on" for the Monte Historic is from 12 noon, so there should be vehicles on display from then. The actual Monte cars leave the ramp from 7pm, so the Heritage Run to Stirling will start leaving around 7.20pm. The run is 65 miles long, so competitors should be arriving at the Birds & Bees from around 8.30pm and 24 cars are registered to come to us.

Obviously all members are welcome to come along on the night, however in order to help with catering numbers both from Birds & Bees and our perspective, please let us know if you intend to attend. Last year we over estimated numbers and as a consequence there was quite a bit of food wastage which we are keen to avoid repeating.


With the start being in the centre of Glasgow, it is going to be much easier to reach for prospective spectators than in previous years, with train or bus taking you virtually to the event location.

As in previous years, Douglas Park MINI Stirling will sponsor us by providing finisher medals and a trophy.’
