it's timed... so I've been waiting for a tdc marker to arrive, decided after a week and a half to liberate my old rusty one from the imp engine and fit it.... only to then remember I don't have a tdc Mark on this pulley ? so still started with the old way of watching an extension bar moving up the bore until at tdc. then I checked my sprocket location... what's the chances my quick mark and hole choice I made to remember what I was up to ended up being the one I needed!!!! I've done my best, nothing sounded like it was hitting, no hard bits to turn during rotation after connecting and checked the dti reading when it came back around again as seen in video!... still nerve racking lol.
