    Gearbox: muff coupling: why did they use this small ring made from cheap not-so-springy steel ? It is not hard to pull it off, it is not hard to put it back, and yes use the thinnest part of the shaft to slide it over - but the ring never fully closes again. What the heck... was there no better way ? A simple thread plus a nut... or a worm screw... a hole to put a small rod through, like a pin which could be bent over... but this solution, pardon, looks just cheap to me. Do they fail often ? If so, and the coupling slides away, its game over.
