Hi all, have been looking at the wiring in preparation for an alternator conversion from the original dynamo on my 65 imp deluxe.

The solenoid has one more wire than shown on the drawings and from what I have seen of other engine bay photos. (the smaller spade brown wire).

Any ideas where it might go, appears it may go to the ignition switch or the dash since it doesn't have continuity with any other brown wires in the engine bay. I know the large spade brown wire went to the B terminal of the regulator. And then the other B terminal wire goes to the ignition switch supply.

Also I'm assuming I'd have to change the polarity of the heater blower? Is there anything else which would need altering?
