Can anyone please help me with a quarter-light seal issue on my 74 Super? I've just had some replacement seals fitted and expected them to look like the originals on the pale blue car but instead I get this (Aquarius car). Seals are pushed hard into the frame and length is not a problem but the (lack of) width clearly is. They appear to be simply too narrow to do the job, ie seal onto the door skin.

The seals are stated as being made 'using original Rootes drawings' although whether these were for the later seals or the earlier superseded ones I don't know. They certainly look much narrower than the original type in the photo.

With 600+ pairs sold surely someone else must have had the same issue? Is there a solution other than bodging with a tube of silicon sealant?

Hmm. I see your point.... Have you asked the seller ? By the way, try to avoid silicon. It has an acid in it thats probably not what you want. Polyurethane is best. Tiger Seal is a brand you might know.
