  • Uprated donut bolts

Another common problem is people using the standard donut bolts, these bolts have a 7/16 shank and reduce to 3/8 thread this is perfectly adequate for road use but for competition purposes you should uprate to 7/16 bolts. This makes them slightly more difficult to fit and sometimes the output shafts and or the drive shaft holes require a drill passing through them to remove casting flashes or burrs. Another common mistake is to use high tensile Allen bolts usually 12.9 grade these are so strong that there is little flex in them that can cause them to snap or bend the drive shaft /output shaft. Another failure I have seen using these is the Nyloc nut just gets the thread ripped out of it. After much testing and research on the desired tensile strength we can supply a bolt that is stronger than standard yet is malleable enough to not pass on the stress to another component. Everything is breakable if treated badly enough but we have proven success with our bolt kit.

£60 delivered to mainland UK for 12 bolts and 12 high quality nyloc nuts.
