    i Mike,
I just want to let you know that I have now (finally) tried the new dampers for the first time.
Due to the pandemic, I have not been able to test the setup, but I have been participating in a race and they were good enough to win the race
The handling was very good, but I think it can even better. The car had a tendency to jump a bit at the bumpy part of the track, not a lot so maybe this is a good compromise. Next time I have the chance I will “play” with damper setting and slightly softer rear springs.
When I adjust the dampers is it only rebound or is it both bump and rebound that is altered?
Do these dampers have a defined damping rate or how is this defined?

    Have a great summer

    Hi Mike!
The suspension works very well! I lifted the rear of the car a little, to take the stress out of the donuts. Now the car tends to lift the inner rear wheel when accelerating out of tight corners in high speed. You can see it on the video if you have a carefull look an hear, the revs go up at that point. It is not too bad though. I will try to make the car a bit harder on the front damper and see if that works better. In fact to be honest I am so happy the car works now overall, I did not yet put to much time in setting up the dampers. So on the next test day I will take some time and play around. They are all still set to neutral bound and rebound. So there should be some potential. But the car feels and works very good.

On the brake: What I also did not do yet is bias it more to the rear. I have an adjustable pedal box with one master cylinder for rear, one for front as discussed. So to improve the braking I will put more brake balance to the rear first, as you told me. I did not want to try this in the race situation. But I will give it a try on the next race meeting in Practice and Qualyfying. I have 5 weeks time now and I will have a closer look at the pedal box. But the brake overall – with the new front pads – works far better than before. And I have no brake fading or whatsoever.

So overall there should be some potential. Also on the right gearing. But for now I am very happy – mostly that the engine works now, at the right temperatures. So now I will start to look at improvements. The big seasonal highlight is the 1000KM Race on the Nordschleife on the 18. September- 6,5 hours race is brave on an imp I know. But why not try?!

    Hello Mike

Many thanks for your time yesterday, good to see you again, and just a note to thank you for all of your efforts with the car, it really is a completely different vehicle.
