Always use an old distributor but get it re-furbished, The new cheap ones my accurately made caps will not fit, yet the caps you get with these are a sloppy fit, so if you buy a cheap cap and fit it to an old dizzy they are a really poor fit! This distributor had done 1800 miles and the play in the bushes is terrible i hope you can pick it up from the video (watch the points gap) You really do get what you pay for and buying good quality ignition parts is essential in keeping your classic reliable, do your research before spending any money.
