  • Sound deadening material

What have people been using as far as sound deadening, successfully ? have just ordered some Silent Coat , they do just a couple of sheets for £6.99 so thought that might be used as a sample , don't want to blow money on something l have no experience off, have also asked for samples of the other thicknesses they do , only time will tell if that's a success.
Obviously Dynamat is up there but it is rather ££££££££££££y .
    Any thoughts?

    They are all pricey

I used Silent Coat on DDG, used it on JDL as well. Add an extra bit inside the rear wings areas and also in the doors.

Filled in the troughs with cutouts on the floor and then a sheet on top. That really only stops the panels drumming.

The aucostic layer I used was closed cell foam, similar to this. Pretty sure it was Glass mat i used but 10mm

Above headlining first my thinking is put TOO much rather than too little . Rest of car you can easily put more should you need it , but don't want to touch headlining again once sorted.

I just got that, been staring at the letter in bemusement.

          Penny dropped

The Imp Club Forum Feed which my trusty bots take car of automatically have not yet had the Roy filter applied as yet. Will look into that one
