Today two things on the card.

Brake service, just wipe their backside as they were fine anyway, still amazing though how easy the grease in the cylinders turns to crap

Then blast the back arches to find what is loose, what was loose was plenty but at least its loose

And as we had a spare tin of POR15 left over from the mercedes seemed a good use to use it to secure/seal the arches.

      Top coat of black tomorrow

This stuff sticks like poop, way too expensive to use nromally but we had it, brick hard when fully cured and in this case it has a great key

Thats the back arches and sills covered in some enamel top coat. Much much better, the olish had stained the existing coat so badly at sills.

Everything well brushed in after getting all the loose stuff removed.

Front arch corner painted and same treatment for front

Well with a couple of rattkle cans from Autopaint St Helens we started on the final spray.

To be honest we ended up pausing as the paint was such a bad match, way too much for fading so going to leave it alone and let the paint fully cure and look at it again.

For now all the inner wheel tubs are cleaned up and there is top coat on the repaired wing so that will do for now.

Colours a mile off Dave, way too dark, so just gonna leave it coated for now and see what its like flatted back.

Not sure if local paint shop will re-open.

                        Seems so to me too.

The stuff I put on with the little brush shown at the bottom was the same paint code and this is Gold as opposed to the new stuff which is more brown.

John is going to email the supplier and ask why the difference.

Not until they tell us to bog off.
It seems that far out there must be something wrong.

Give them the benefit of the doubt to correct it first. ;)

Plugs looking a bit tatty, so much cleaning and outside the bttoms were getting crusty.

So new plugs fitted, nice shiny things now been in there for many thousands of miles, at least they look OK on inside

Suprisingly even given the style of the manifold which is one bar and 4 offshoots on the Nikki, very happy with those.

And of course the obligitory coolant flush, new stuff added.
