Automatic Heater Valve Fan Radiator Fan or Temperature Alarm ??
Forgot I bought this for the mini booth we used to have at work.
A temperature controller I picked up for less than a tenner delivered (I cannot build one for that, couple hours in doing code.... ) just search Ebay with terms " digital temperature controller " and sort by price, oodles....
This one switches 10A ( well thats what it says)
The thermocouple is the shiny bead on right hand side, the cable makes little odds and can be extended.
OK, what can it be used for.
1. Put bead outside and set to say 4 degrees, have it put a lamp up on dash, turn on heater....
2. Put sensor inside cab and set to 18 degress, turn heater fan on if it goes below ?
3. Put onto say heater matric inlet (after valve) leave fan switch on and have it come on automatically when heater temp is up
4. Electric Aux fan control, set to say 10 deg above thermostat, if temo is reached kick in electric fan somewhere or use fluid valve to aux rad. Sometimes the Aux rad is overkill
5. Cheap didgital temp gauge with alarm at 90 degress ?
Any other suggestions ?? Keep the beer cooler powered when it gets hot
Accuracy wise I would guess best case 2% on the NTC worst 5% so say +/-2 Deg worst
Posts of late have shown me that good solutions are really in the innovation of the individual so let your creative mojo run free.
Ebay is full of little building blocks like this for pennies adding just a little bit more inteligence than can be achieved with a switch alone.
The ambient light sensor ones for example, auto lights on, the proximity ones behind glass, auto wipers... long list but the possibilities are endless
