Yeh, that is very clean indeed. How long can it stay like that once it gets used I wonder?

You can aim for yours to be that clean John

Nice looking engine bay and no doubt the rest of the car will be just like that. Be nice to see it.

          Cheers

This was 4 years after i had it chemically pyro stripped (not acid bath) at ribble technology https://paint-strip.co.uk/ I had it dipped and started work but then spent 4 years working as a world rally mechanic as well as the full time job at home. When i finished with the WRC team i set too on the imp so it had sat in my workshop for 4 years in bare metal apart from their phosphate coating to prevent flash rusting. After the welding was completed, strengthening plates for chassis and suspension mountings and ever single seam on every panel has an inch long tack 1.5 inch apart and all measured and marked at equal positions on both sides of the car. I sent the car back to Ribble for another de-rust treatment and primer. Whilst doing the dry build i made every mounting point for everything captive so no nuts and bolts through panels so you do not need a second person on the outside of the car to remove or re-fit any parts. All done in imperial nuts and bolts/studs.
