  • Blew the dust off DDG

Eventually managed to blow the dust off DDG, not big lengthy runs after the engine change and at least nothing has fell off (yet )

Not sure on this 24mm Solex yet.

Nice to see DDG back up and running again John.
Is it back to a 998 again?

    Cheers

Col, no unfortunately, the 998 is still with Andy

I picked up a 930 and dropped it in, as usual I had to fix lots on it first but its in and running, need to drop sump though as its leaking like rab cs string vest, what can you say, B1 with back oil seal and now the sump leaks

I know how Jim Fraser feels now

That's a bummer for you but at least there is an engine back in and your out and about again.
Chasing oil leaks are a bit of nightmare as well mind. Good luck wiht sealing them all up.

There is always something that needs our attention

        Cheers

Good to see it back on the road. For info anyone wanting a good gasket sealant I use three bond https://www.techsil.co.uk/threebond-1215-250gm This is not a solution to idleness and sloppy work, (not implying anyone on here who has leaks is sloppy or idle) you still need to have flat and spotless faces. Yes it is usually better to remove studs to clean the face and yes it take a bit more time but better than removing components twice to fix a leak. We used it on the Subaru WRC engines and a lot of car and bike manufacturers use it. https://www.techsil.co.uk/threebond-1207b-100g Also this one is available. Cheers Mike
