  • Panel repairs with modern chemistry

While in a discussion on facebook about attaching Expressed panels lower 1/2 wing and joggled edges I cam across this small video.

I know modern bond techniques get scorned, but sometimes they are a perfect case, such as two completely flat, rust free, no gap areas

I actually used some of these materials on JDL 889F on the rear lamp area as you simply could not weld in the repairs well, plus I wanted the small back gap filled.

    The video shows the highlights

Just a little bit more to sit back and enjoy.

Modern cars make serious use of this stuff now as dispensing robuts a lot easier to manage than weld bots

Neat, need one of those File Belts, can think of lots of things to rub down with one, not that any of the things needs rubbed down but you know......

100% MK 1 just as rootes intended it, no mods, no problem

Doris but she should be an easy one as we have full wings and front, not really a lot to rpair, all spot welds to come off

Seriously considering bonding some of the parts

Example front wing vertical edge to A pillar
Front lower valance to wings under lights rather than weld
Rear wing return to B pillar edge

I am sure we can get Ronnie/Derek to sort us out with this stuff.
