Decided for DDG as the front number plate was in good condition to refurbish it, the aluminium was easy enough.

BUT what colour was the letters originally, white, grey or silver, as I think I can see all three colours. Matt or satin black for the background or matt black with satin lacquer ? Hoping it turns out OK.

Base plastic is normally white , these are then sprayed by the factory to the required colour - be it white or silver

Dave lo commented to check the back Dave, obvious I know but I did indeed not check, these wee silver, I have some high temp ally paint that looks close so will do those later and add some satin lacquer to age it a bit.

              Cheers Dave

Must admit was well happy with how it turned out, the back plate still has the little dents and the paintwork not great still so it looks "clean but tatty"

Thinking I might do the othr one now.

Will have it mounted shortly, I need to get some round steel stock and make the bar for behind the bumper between the two irons for the number plate holder and the spots.

The spots are currently hanging off the new bumper like a pair of wet socks
